When did you start climbing and who with?

In 1986 with my brother Miroslav "Mísa" Mašek.

Do you have a nickname? If so, how did you get it?

Yes, it is Miska. When my dad was going to school, a teatcher once called him "Mísa" by mistake. It sticked and his mates kept calling him that way. My brother inherited the nickname and since I met them all during climbing got its variation for a junior.

Hardest and most valuable sends:

  • Mountains - SW wall of Shisha Pangma, alpine style
  • Sandstone - Údolka on Amerika tower IXa, Prachov
  • Limestone - Mario La Sa 7b, Nago, Arco

If you didn´t climb, what would you probably do with your life?

White water or horses.

What is your favourite place in the world?

Jablonec nad Jizerou, Czech.

What do you like the most about climbing?

Having good mates.

How long was your longest fall, when and where did it happen?

15 metres in the north face of Grandes Jorases

Are you scared of falling?

Yes. And the more I climb in the mountains, the more secure I do it.

Are you scared of anything else?

Crevasses that are hard to read.

Height 180 cm, arms span 185 cm.
